hey everybody, its me, anne, or am i supposed to call myself mlbgirl???   hmmm, i dunno, i guess u can call me anything u like.  well this is my first entry so i guess im supposed to tell u a little bit about myself.  im 22 and live near syracuse, ny.  i just graduated college and am spending the rest of the summer unwinding from the experience.  school was alot of fun and i learned a lot, but its nice that its finally over.  i got my degree in english and had a minor in history.  i love to read, write, talk about politics, and just debate/argue about just about any current events.  i have some pretty weird ideas, so if there's anything u wanna argue w/me about, just let me know.  hopefully we can learn from each other.  oh yeah, closed-minded people drive me nuts.  i mean if you're not willing to change your ideas about certain things when presented w/new and better ideas, whats the point of discussing anything? 

  my real love in life is baseball, though.  ive been a die hard stl cards fan since the 1990 season.  i know, you're thinking how big a fan can i be, im a girl, afterall.  well just test me.  i know more about the game than any guy or girl ive ever met, so if u wanna talk about the cards, another team, or the history of the game, let me know, i love talking baseball.

  ok, well just wanted to get my first post out there and get on the mindasy map.  hope everybody has a great day, say hi and make me smile.  and i promise this blog will get better...lol.

ok, lets get one thing straight, i am an english nerd, and i love it!!!  i love to read.  so from time to time im gonna put quotes from some super books, and if u can identify the quotes u will really impress me...sorry theres no real prizes...lol.  heres the first quote quiz:

  ok, if u want the watered down company version of the what happened in the st. louis cards' games, go to espn.com or mlb.com.  they'll sugar coat everything and make u feel all icky and sanitized.  im a real fan, and i chher, swear, cry, and jump for joy during the season.  heres how i saw the game today:

6/22  stl at cin final score 6-7 cards lose

  ok this is totally unacceptable.  coming into the 3 game series vs cincy we had the best record in the national league and the 2nd best in all of baseball.  we were 44-24, cincy was 24-42.  chris carpenter was lights out in game one of the series, and reggie sanders and albert pujols homered.  we won easily 6-1.  game 2 we got bombed b/c jason marquis couldnt get anybody out!!!  he came in 8-4 w/a 3.57 era but gave up 10 runs in 2.1 innings!!!!  we got beat 4-11.  but everything was gonna' be ok, b/c we had mark mulder pitching for ustoday, and a win would give us the series 2-1.  but somebody forget to tell mulder that his job was to get outs.  helasted all of 4 innings and we quickly fell behind 0-7!!!  the team battled back and i was really proudof them.  they closed the gap to 6-7.  the bullpen was amazing.  al reyes, ray king, and julian tavarez worked the last 4 innings without giving up a run, whick allowdd th team to claw their way back.  unfortunately we came up just short.  we're now 45-26 and have a 8 game lead (the biggest in the majors) ove the 2nd place cubs.  now dont get me wrong, i know e have a great team and am positive we're gonna coast to the nl central crown, but this team needs a shakeup before the playoffs.

  right now we have 2 top notch starters in chris carpenter(10-4 3.01 era) and matt morris (8-0 3.16 era), but jason marquis, mark mulder and jeff suppan have not pitched like they can, especially mulder.  well what can we do about it?  glad u asked.  just let me put on my gm's cap and ill tell u...lol.

#1  sign matt morris to a contract extension today!!!  he had offseason shoulder surgery and we got him dirt cheap, b/c he needed to show that he was healthy.  i think 8-0 w/a 3.16 is proof enough.  matty-mo is the longest tenured cardinal and means a lot to the franchise.  remember just a couple years ago when he was considered one of the 3 best right handers in the nl?  well, hes back to his old form of '01 (22-8 3.16 era) and '02 (17-9 3.42 era), and its time to get him locked up for a couple more years before he can test the free agent market.  we already signed our ace, chris carpenter to a 2 year extension earlier in the year.

#2  ship out jeff suppan or jason marquis so we can bring up anthony reyes or adam wainwright.  suppan and marquis are stuck ing the mud right now.  i dont want the cards to get complacent and i think sending out one of the oitchers and bringing up one of the kids from memphis would re-light a fire inder the cards' asses. we could probably get more for marquis, he is younger and a better pitcher,a nd still cant be a free agent till after next year.  but i we have no glaring holes in the lineup, so maybe it wuld be simply for prospects.

#3  get nasty.  we have the best fans in the game, but we're just too nice.  our fans need to really start getting on the other team when they come to busch stadium.  i was there for the yankees series and the game we lost (mulder pitched like crap again, by the way) we were just siiting on our hands till the 8th inning.  we as cards fans need to make other teams afraid to come into busch...this is our stadium, and nobody beats us at home.

ok...lol...my ranting is done, im starting to feel better.  we have a 4 game set coming up against pittsburgh.  the road trip is finally over, we went 5-4 on it.  it'll be nice to come home to st. louis, and we shold take 3/4 from the pirates.  go cards, and yes, i know im insane...lol

  woo-hoo, just got some good news!!!  i won an auction on ebay for some st. louis cards' tickets...yes!!!  i got 2 tickets for each game on july 20 and 21.  the cards are playing the milwaukee brewers.  this will be my 2nd time going out to busch stadium in a month.  me, my 2 brothers and my sister in law went out to see the cards play the yankees last week.  this time im going out on my own, unless i can convince chris to go w/me, but he probably won't be able to get the time off of work.  so its gonna be road trip time...yes!!!  last time out, we took my mom's car, b/c it was the biggest and we needed room for the 4 of us. this time out, im taking my car, its gonna be sooo amazing.  the tickets are great seats, too, almost the same spot as last time.  sect 286 row 7 seats 1 and 2.  last time we were in row 8, so a row closer. 

  st. louis is such a beautiful city.  i felt safe and welcome and everybody was really friendly.  we walked around at night and nobody bothered us.  the game is gonna be great, but im looking forwardto the drive just as much.  driving has always stirred my creative juices.  hopefully ill come back home w/some great memories and some new ideas for my writing.  so if u see a crazy cards fan driving in a black celica w/ny plates, say hi and we can share a drink and some stories.

    yeah, yeah im up.  my brother's cats, bommerang and kangaroo (no im not making those names up...lol...they are brothers so he decided to give them similar names, i guess he had australia on the brain) drove me crazy this morning.  i was sleeping w/my door closed and i heard scracthing at the door at about 830 this morning.  no biggy, i usually crawl out of bed, walk across the romm sill asleep open the door and i comes my kitty lillith.  but this morning it was bm, i give the cats inititials, its quicker that way when i have to give them counseling sessions on their behavior...lol.  anyways, today it was bm, so ilet him in and went back to bed.  not 2 minutes later he was scratching ot go back out, so i let him out.  about a minute later he scratches to come back on.  everybody see where this is headed?

    eventually i just said the hell with it and left the door open, at which point he realized the game was over and went into my brother's room.  whats that they say, if u want a pet get a dog, if u want a master get a cat???  amen brother...lol.

    did anybody else catch coast to coast am last night?  it was a pretty good episode.  for those who dont know, its a late night radio show on from 1am-5am eastern time about weird stuff like ufos, time travel, ghosts, etc.  i listen to it every night.  if u wanna check it out, the website is on my page.  well george noory (the host) was talking to a guy who believes that not only is the center of the earth hollow, but its inhabitated by reptoids.  basically lizard men.  he says they are descendants of the dinsoaurs who were able to get inside the hollow earth when the rest the dinosaurs died off.  he beleievs there openings to the center of the earth somewhere near the north pole and antarctica.  yeah i know, the stuff seems crazy and far fetched, and it probably is.  butisnt it weird that we know more about the surface of the moom than we do about the inner part of our own planet???  just something to think about.

    oh and heres a thought for all u folks who seem to be happy we're fighting in iraq.  what happens if we are attacked on our own soil while our ational guard units and most of our militray is overseas?  right, right, i hear u saying, shut up anne, u commie whore, it'll never happen.  well, first of all, i may be a whore, but im no commie...lol.  seriously, though, there is an actual contigency plan for the UN troops to act as our "protectors" if the USA is unable to protect itself from an outside attack.  yikes, sounds like fun, huh?  but don't worry, they wont be an occupying army, they'll be here to protect us, andliberate us.  hmmmmmm, doesn't sound like such a good deal when the shoe is on the other foot, now does it?   i forone don't want other nations' troops telling me what to do in my own country, andi bet u dont either, so lets give the rest of the world the same respect.  bring the troops home from korea, germany, iraq, etc.  well just a crazy girl's rantings.  ok, im out, don't forget to flush, be nice to kitties, and if your pits dont stick, why waste deodorant...take care y'all, hope everybody has a great day.

    ok, that was really weird.  i just got a phone call from the liberatrian party telling me that my membership had lapsed and askingme to "re-join" the party.  ok, first of all, i was a republican but i got fed up w/the 2 party system, where it seemd the dems and repubs just wanted to beat each other not make america a better place.  i joined the libertarian party and even voted for their candidate, michael badnarick in the '04 election. 

    but lately, the liberatarian stuff they've been sednign me has been less and less aboutissues andmore andm ore abuot "how to show your friends they're reallyl ibertarian at heart."  i mean come on, i joijned the party b/c they were taking on issues and now they're already fading out.  so i decided not to rejoin, i have better things to do w/my $25 bucks, like buy cards' tickets.  anyways, why should i pay to a member of a political party?  i still have the same views as i did when i was a member, so what's changed?  only the money.  i still speak out on topics based upon my liberatrian view of the world, but the bigshots at liberatian HQ wanna make me feel guilty about not giving them money???  go fuck yourselves u bastards.  my chats with peole at college have done more for the liberatarian party than some ass-clown who gave $1,000, but u kiss his ass and tell me f i dont give u $25, then america is gonna fall into the ocean?

    ok, i got carried away, but i'm just pissed off at the political process of america.  im an intelligent, open-minded, young american, but b/c im working class and not rich, i'm not important???  well everybody in politics can kiss my skinny, pale, white ass.  im a voter and even though that doesnt mean much, when i help wake up enough people like me, we're comin' for all of u, who have let this country turn into a shit hole...woooooo, i feel sooooo much better now.   hope everybody has a great day.

    ok, just got back from the mall w/my mephews and my parents.  we took the kids out shopping for their b-days.  surprisingly enough they were all prety well behaved.  they found some toys they liked, and we got outta there pretty quickly. 

    so its back home and time for the cards' game.  i turned on the computer and its was 1-1.  albert pujols hit his 19th hr of the year for us.  but by the time i had grabbed some food and gotten back to the comp it was 3-1 pittsburgh, and beforei blinked it was 5-1...grrrrr!!!!  and the worst part about it was reggie sanders made a 2 out error that allowed thr last 2 runs to score.  im not gonna dump on reggie, though.  hes having a great year.  when one of the boys makes a bad play, i just talk to them (through the tv or comp screen and yes they can hear me...lol) and tell them they're better than that.  our offense has been alright the last few games, but b/c our starters jason marquis and mark mulder have sucked thelast 2 games, we have lost 2 in a row.  matty mo and the bullpen are gonn ahve to hold pittsburgh at 5 for awhile so the bats can get us back in it.  oh well, even if we drop the game tonight, we'll maintain our 78.5 gamelead b/c milwaukee beat the cubs earlier today.  grrrrr, we just went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 3rd.  oh well alot of game left to be played. 

    oh yeah and im just testing out this new font, if it sucks, ill try something new, and yes, i know im the queen of the typos, so please accept me for who i am ...lol.

    ok, well its me again.  savage, evil, lustful anne has been replaced with the character i play on tv...lol.  my drive was amazing.  i just got on a road and took off.  i culd feel my stress and anger just evaporate as my car raced faster and faster.  dont worry, i didnt speed, well not too much anyway...lol.  the night air was so refreshing and, well, i just feel about a million times better...sigh...yes!!!

    while i was gone, the cards got their asses handed to them.  they lost 11-7, but should have won.  they gave up 7 unearned runs!!!!  come on guys, we've now lost 3 in a row.  we still have ahuge 8.5 game lead over the cubs, but i just hate losing.  so lets refocus and start playing cardinals' baseball.

    in other sports news, congrats to the sanantonio spurs for winning their 2nd nba title in 3 years.  tim duncan is one my fav nba players, and im happy for him and the spurs.  detroit played a good game and it was a great series, well once game 5 rolled around...lol.  good to see "teams" are winning nba titles, not just a bunch of stiffs surrounding one amazing guy.

    well, i just wanted to say hi, andlet everyone know that i had calmed down and had not murdered anyone tonight...lol.  hope everybody is having a great night and if you're not, why not step out and breathe in some of that night air...always works for me.

    ok, i think ive settled on this font.  its just times new roman but its bold, and i like it, so i guess thats all that matters.  first of all,thanks for everybody for checking out my crazy world.  i know its sounds corny, but it really does make me feel happy when so many folks stop by and more importantly, take the time to say hello...sigh, i feel loved...lol.  ive only been on this blog a few days and im already starting to feell ike part of the family, thanks gang!!!

    last night my dad's snpring was ooo loud, it scared the dog!!!  im not kidding...lol.  poor dodger is afraid of thunderstorms, and he always comes up stairs during one.  other wise he sleeps down stairs on the couch.  last night he kept head butting the door till i let him and he slept next to my bed.  and let me tell u, there wasnt much more room at the inn...lol.  i had my little corner of the bed, while lillith and cathy hogged the entire body.  im like 10x as big as them but somehow i get the smallest corner...hmmmm, no wonder my neck always hurts when i wake up.  and talk about divas...they bothe get jealous if i role over in the night and am "too close" to the otherone.  they want my undivided attention even when i sleep...lol.  cathy kept punching me in the head b/c i had turned my head and was drooling on lillith, not her...lol.  man anytime i think im catty, i just look at, well, duh, girl cats...lol.

    hmmmm todays friday, isnt it?  days run together when your only goal in life is to be a bum for the summer...lol.  the longer this summer goes on, the more like i cat ive become.  i sleep weird hours, usually im up all night, i sleep during the day, im moody, i dont seem to accomplish anything lal day, but i sure do snack a lot...hmmmmm, i wonder if i secretly got hit w/a change me into a cat ray....hmmmmm, meow, yikes!!!

    anyone who heard that loud scream of frustration coming from upstate ny last night dont worry it was just me.  the cards have lost 3 in a row and its pissing me off.  tonight they play game 2 of a 4 game set against pittsburgh.  jeff suppan (6-6 4.30 era), myleast fav of the cards' starters takes the mound.  i hope supp has a great start and makes me look bad for asking for him to be traded.  we just need to refocus and stop worrying about october when its only june.  i dont predict scores for baseball games, too weird, but im confident the cards will get things together and get the win tonight.

    ok folks, im gonna grab some food.  hope everybody is having fun and having a great day.  and remember, doint fear the reaper, the milkman always knocks twice, the word booty is always good for alaugh, and ont tease the sleeze.

    besides the fact that it is way too hot and muggy, things are great.  the cards snapped their 3 game losing streak by beating pittsburgh 8-1.  jeff suppan pitched a great game giving up just a run 8.1 innings.  jim edmonds had 2hr and 4rbi, so taguchi had 2hr and 3 rbi, yadier molina had a hr, and scott rolen had a couple hits.  tomorrow our best pitcher, chris carpenter is pitching, so hopefully we can keep the winning streak going.  hmmm, i guess its not really a winning streak if you've only won 1 game...lol.

    cats are sooo smart and sooo dumb.  lillith and cathy were outside and since it was coming up on midnight, it was time for them to come in.  cathy always comes when u call her, but lillith comes when she wants to.  well she knew i was gonna make her come in, so she took off across the yard and headed for a tree.  she got half way up and then ran back downand under a a bush.  i walked arund the house and cut her off, so she ran under my car.  she could easily outrun me like this all night.  but i knew she loved me, so i tricked her...lol.  i walked around the car and pretended not to know she was under there.  then i said, "oh no, where's lillith, where could she be?"  immediately she runs out from under the car to my leg and starts to meow as if to see here i am mommy, dont worry...lol.  she let me pick her up and we went inside.  now she is sleeping about a foot away from my feet as i type this.  when i get of the computer and head to bed, she will wake up and come to bed w/me...lol...she is soooo wonderful, i loveher soo much...oh and i love u too cathy...she gets jealous...lol.

    well, im getting sleepy, this heat is really oppressive.  coast to coast am starts in about 20 minutes, so i hope to be in bed by then.  have a great night everybody, see u tomorrow.

        ok, when its hot all day, i just have no energy to do anything.  i cant believe its almost 7:30pm and its still ike 92 degrees!!!!  when i crawled outof bed today, tiwas hot.  when i ate lunch it was hot.  when i ate dinner it was hot, and its still hot!!!!  if the day starts off normal and then gets hot, i can deal w/that, but to be hot all day is too much.  i have no energy and dont wanna do anything.  basically today i have watched tv and ate a crap load of popsicles.

    the cards are just under way against the pittsburgh pirates.  the teams have split the first 2 games of a 4 game series.  our ace, chris carpenter pitches tonight.  and he started off great, w an 11 pitch first inning, in which he retired the first 3 pirate batters w/o a problem.  its such a good felling when we're at home to shut down the road team and then come up to bat w/o being behind.  its even better if we then take the lead in the first inning.  it really takes the pressure off us and puts it on the other team.

    well im too hot to think right now.  hope everybody is having a great day, try to stay cool, and watch out for ants...grrrr, i hate ants!!!

    ok poonannypie has got me going on class warfare, so im gonna keep going in myl il part of the world.  forget democrats and republicans, forget liberal and conservative, the real battle should between the poor and middle class against the rich.  everyone should be middle class in america, i mean we have sooo much wealth and sooo many resources, if we could just share a little more we could really help out the poor in america. 

    we know the tax system is broken in this country.  look, no one likes paying taxes, but we need them to pay for education, infrastructure, etc.  if we culd take away the huge amount we spend on defense and put that back into improving america, just think how much better off everyone would be.  by cutting 50% from our defense budget we would still be spending more than any other nation in the world.  if we brought our troops home from around the world we could even put them on our borders, wouldnt that make u anti-immigration folks happy??? 

    most of the wealthiest americans dont give a damn about u and me, that goes for the wealthy dems, too...i dont want this to simply be an attack on the wealthy republicans.  its time the wrokers of america unite, no not for a communist revolution, but for a fairer democracy.  i am certainly not advocating a violent take over...though violence is acceptable if we are attacked.  strikes, sit-ins, any kind of political activism would be a good start.  we need to wake up the wroking class and the poor of america andremind them that this is our country, and we do have a stake in its future.  try to do something this week to alert a friend or random stranger about the abuses of the rich.  talk about the tax code, or the way the rich use the 2 party system, and foreign troubles to divert us from the truth about the problems at home.  ok, im done ranting.  have a great day, shower if u needit, and never stop reading and learning.

     ok the cards and the pirates are just about to start game 4 of their 4 game series.  the cards have won the last 2...woo-hoo!!!  jason marquis (8-5 4.10 era) goes against oliver perez (6-5 6.17 era).  i checked the lineups and it look slike a bunch of subs in for the cards today.  abe nunez will be playing 3B instead of scott rolen, so taguchi will be in cf so jim edmonds can get a day off, and hector luna will get his 1st start in rf since being called up from memphis.  hopefully marquis can get back to pitching like he did in the beginning part of the season.  im picking the cards in a much closer game than the last 2 days.

    well its sunday night for most of the world, for me its just night.  sonce graduating from college, everyday has been a weekend.  i am not working this summer if i can help, i am using this summer as my final course in earning about myself and the world.  i am just drifting along, from one baseball game to the next, from one conversation to the next, from one soda or ice cream sundae to the next.

    today was much better than yesterday, though the cards did lose today, they really blew it, but im not in the mood to alk about it now.  it was hot, but not quite as bad as yesterday.  had a bunch of ice cream, watched some tv, just got done watching "its a mad, mad, mad, mad world", a great comedy classic.  seeing mickey rooney in his later years, its hard to imagine him as a young sex symbol...lol.  any ladies out there, or guys, think mickey rooney is sexy???  hmmm, didnt think so.

    i guess thats all for me for right now, time to get back to drifting...

    ok, first of all im, beginning to believe that my mom was impregnated by a super intelligent snake.  why u ask, well 2 reasons.  one, and the most obvious, is that im just super intelligent, i mean isnt that why u all come to my blog to worship me????  huh, what, oh yes of course, im sorry for blasphemy wise owl master, it will not happen again (if u didnt get that reference, check out ravager 's blog.  you'll see the truth about then ewest religion sweeping the world.)  and the second andmuch grosser reason is that my skin is totally peeling off.  i got sunburned and normally my shoulders peel and maybe a bit on ym arms, but this time, the skin on both of my arms from my elbow to the wrist have peeled off!!!  i am not kidding, its gross!!!!  maybe im going through another growth spurt...hmmmm.

    have i told u that i hate ants???  well, i do.  i waslaying out in the driveway under the night sky and the city was peaceful, the night was beautiful, and every thing was great.  it was just me, my 2 kitties and no one there to bother us.  well, except for a million ants that is!!!!!!  i felt somethign crawling up my thigh and it was an ant.  so i totally freaked out and couldnt relax anymore, b/c every time i slayed down, i felt an imaginary ant crawling all over me...grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

    cathy is sitting next to me as i type this message, but lillith is still outside.  she knows her curfew is midnight unless im outside w/her, but she just has to test me....hmmmmm.  if she doesnt come in when i call her in a few minutes i guess she'll be out for the night.  coast to coast am is about to start and lillith knows how relaxing art bell's voice is.

    my tickets for the st. louis cards' games on 7/20 and 7/21 arrived today...woo-hoo!!!  i mean i knew i ws going, but just holding the tickets in my hands was amazing!!!!  i got 2 seats for each game and ive invited the owl to go w/me...he promised i would be rewarded in the next life for my kindness and devotion...sigh...i love the owl.  oh and he said he would do all of the night driving, so how could i refuse him???  the last game i went to was 6/11 and they played the yankees.  the tickets are xtra cool b/c this is the last year at busch stadium, so each game has a highlight from the cards' past.  the 6/11 tickets had bob gibson striking out 17 batters in game one of the '68 world series.  the 7/20 game has albert pujols celebrating a home run, and the 7/21 tickets have jim edmonds being mobbed at home plate after hitting the walkoff hr in game 6 of the '04 nlcs.

The Closer

    C’mon guys get a run. Don’t make me warm up for nothing, I’m getting too old for this. I remember The Series against Toronto when I could throw all day and I was so pumped up on adrenaline, I didn’t feel a thing. I was lights out that year and untouchable in The Series. 52 saves in 54 chances, a 1.07 era, 122 k’s in 65 innings, and only 3 walks the whole year. When I held that Cy Young trophy above my head I just stared at the cameras and smiled. But I wasn’t looking at the cameras, I was looking through them. I was looking out through the tvs and smiling at Jennifer almost saying, "see baby, all the hard work has been worth it. I’ve arrived, the big payday is just around the corner." Then I saved three games against Toronto in The Series. The one I didn’t save, I won. I struck out 6 straight in game seven and threw four perfect innings and kept our team alive until our guys finally broke through in the top of the 11th. Then I finished off Alomar, Carter, and Winfield on 6 pitches.

    Well not many people call me "the reaper" anymore, now I’m just Danny. I’m just Danny Lewis, a 30-something relief pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. I’m not really a Dodger, well I mean I am, but I spent most of the season with the Cincinnati Reds. LA picked me up at the deadline for some no-chance, no-shot "prospect" in A-ball. Imagine that, "The Reaper" got traded for a player to be named later. There was a time even a few years ago when I wouldn’t have been traded for anything but I can’t miss future superstar. But then my arm died, and with it "The Reaper." I had some surgery, missed almost 2 years rehabbing, came back too soon, blew my arm out again, got more surgery, and finally came back. I missed three and half years of my prime, that’s 140 saves, easy. More importantly, though, I lost my fastball. In that Toronto series, I hit 100 mph on 4 of the 6 pitches I threw in the 11th inning! I had pitched 3+ innings in relief and was still throwing a fastball that disappeared halfway to the plate. Now I was lucky if I hit 91.

    "Run you bastard! Yes!"

    That kid can flat out fly, I never thought he had a shot at third. OK, I’m loose, 2 outs runner on third tie game, Lo Duca coming up. If he gets a hit I’m in.

    "Get up, get up, get up, hell yeah!!!! You did it Paul, you did it! Holy shit, you did it!"

    Lo Duca had come through with a 2 run homer and as soon as Boston gets another out it’s showtime. Yeah that’s right, old man Lewis gets the call to save Game 7 of The Series. The blond-haired, flame-throwing, wiz-kid closer the Dodgers had, broke his magic hand after he had a little too much to drink following our NLCS win. He missed an easy shot playing 8-ball, punched a wall, and the rest is history. So they called on me to bring back the magic, to bring back "The Reaper." Well, he’s still hiding. I did manage to save a couple games this series, my curveball was dancing in Game 2, and Roberts bailed me out with a great double play in Game 3, but I blew it in Game 4 and Game 5. Well, none of that matters anymore, only this inning.

    "Now pitching for the Dodgers, number 19, Danny Lewis." Yeah boo me all you want, but be careful, you might just fuck up and wake up "The Reaper." Fenway Park is a shitty place to watch a game, it’s an even worse place to try to close out a World Series. I’m only halfway to the mound, but I’ve already been called things that would make Rogers Hornsby proud. Wow, I had no idea that guy knew my mom so well! Oh, I hate that song, I thought they forgot about it 5 years ago. They’re playing "Don’t Fear The Reaper." Why don’t you guys come up with something original? Why don’t you start chanting "Yankees Suck", why don’t you just shut the fuck up?

    Well here I am. I pick up the rosen bag, look around at the crowd behind home plate, and start warming up. My arm feels great and Paul’s glove is popping already. Maybe this is gonna’ be like Toronto. Maybe once the inning starts the magic will come back. Maybe "The Reaper" has one more in him.

    "Now batting the right fielder, number 7, Trot Nixon!" The crowd erupts. Trot is a fan favorite, and a pretty good player. Even though I’m facing their 7-8-9, they’re still dangerous. Nixon, Varitek, and Reese. I have to get these out 1-2-3 so I don’t have to face the top of the order.

    ok, thats some of my writing.  i was just bored and looking over some stuff ive started but never finished (the story of my life).  its the beginning to a short story entitled "the closer" which is the term in baseball for the pitcher that gets the last 3 outs of a close game. 

    hey y'all, im still alive...sorry if that announcement ruined your day...lol.  basically have been drifting since myl ast entry, not much going on at all.  cards lost tonight to the rockies 0-7, that sucks.  jeff suppan followed up a great strat against pittsburgh w/a horrible start against the rockies.  oh well, we have carp going tomorrow, so everything will be better.  we're still 20 games over .500 and have an 8.5 game lead on the cubs. 

    i really love popsicles.  i think i have an oral fixation.  seriously, i always have ot have somethin gin my mouth, whether its a popsicle, gum, candy, a pen..hmmmmm, oh well.

    ok, im back.  i was just re-reading some of my older posts and i realized i never said i was going away for the 4th of july weekend.  sorry if any of u out there thought i got kidnapped or something...lol. 

    the baseball season is half over and the cards are 52-30 and have an 11.5 game lead in the nl central.  6 of their players made the nl allstar team.  this is really another great season...and dont forget, only 2 1/2 weeks till i take my lil road trip out to st. louis.

    one of the fun things me and my family did this weekend was have some pretty hardcore political discussions.  its so nice to talk to intelligent people about meaningul issues...or so i thought.  ok, quick political overview of me and my 2 bros.  im a libertarian, if you're a regular visitor to the site u already know that.  my older brother is a conservative, and my twin brother is an ex-rep like me who is hard to classify, kinda goes issue by issue.  so after having a semi-intelligent discussion for about half an hour, my older brother is having all his ideas shot down by me and my twin.  we explain why the war in iraq is wrong, why bush is bankrupting america, why christian religous nuts are no different than muslim religious nuts, etc.  he had been interuptin gus all night, which is a clear sign that u dont care what someone is saying, and finally starts yelling at me about how much of a liberal i am, and ever since i went to college id changed.  well i was about to scream at him but my twin beat me to the punch, he basically said, "everything she just said was libertarian not liberal, but you're too stupid to realize that not everybody who opposes bush is a liberal democrat.  u never listen to what we say to u and u always get drunk and angry b/c we're smarter than u and u only get your ideas from o'reilly and sean hannity!!!"  wow, it was awesome.  a fight almost broke out, but it was awesome...lol.

    anyways, how was your 4th of july...lol???

    ok, lets look at a hypothetical situation, shall we?  customer A goes to auto garage B to have new tires put on her car.  this took place on july 1.  they did such a wonderful job and made her feel so comfortable that she agrees to get her brakes put on at the same garage on july 6.  when she gets there, she is talked down to, laughed at, and generally a victim of age and gender discrimination.  but what has changed in 5 days?  anne...oooops, customer A is the same, the service of the garage is the same, the car is the same...oh yeah...there are different guys waiting on anne...customer A.  grrrrrrrr, i am soo pissed off right now!!!  im always a lil self conscious about taking my car into a garage, b/c i know nothing about cars.  i mean i pay someone good money so they can explain things to me, and make me feel at ease, not just to work on my car.  these guys at the garage were your basic run of the mill rednecks and i guess this was their chance to strike back at the world for being ignorant, unintelligent, filthy, smelly, yucky teeth having, mongrels!!!!  so now im in a bad mood, and its not b/c im going to shell out $230 for brakes, i need them, its no biggy.  but if i go in to mcdonalds and spend $3 i should get treated w/respect, shouldnt that apply for spending over $200???

    ok well things just got worse.  i dropped the car off this morning and the guy said it would be like 2 hours, so i figured they always tell u less time to make u feel better, no biggy, and figured the car would be ready by noon or 1pm.  wrong!!!  the car is still down there and there not done yet.  after having my car for close to 6 hours they called and said the estimate they gave me last week of $230 was wrong, b/c the actually needed bigger rotors or something so the new total was $414!!!!  so they've kept my car twice as long and charged me twice as much as they estimated.  so now, i basically have to refigure my budget for the month and find a way to squeeze out $200.  most likely, ill have to cut back on my fun money for my trip to st.louis...which just happened to be the highlight of the entire summer...thanks a lot fuck-ups!!!!

    ok, ill be honest, im not very good at handling my money, but i was right on track for the summer so far, until this came up.  i wasnt planning on getting new brakes when the summer started but i had enough emergency money put aside that the original $230 was ok, now...who knows.  i dunno, i guess im just whining, but why couldnt they just tell me it was gonna be $400 up front?  did they think i would go some where else...maybe?  r people really that dishonest or am i just looking for the evil in everyone?

    ok, well the good news is that chris carpenter is pitching tonight for the cards.  he got selected to his first allstar team this year and is in the running for nl cy young.  on the year he is 12-4 w/a 2.60era.  he's due for a bad start, but i think hes gonna be just fine tonight.  arizona is oitching javier vazquez, who's 7-7 w/a 4.75era.  my prediction is cards by atleast 3.  also albert pujols has a 17 game hitting streak going.  its so funny that the fans have already gotten used to pujols hitting .330 w/40 hr and 125 rbi, so when he does it every year they think he's just average...lol.  hehas been overshadowed by derek lee's first half, but this is pujols' year to win his first nl mvp.  hes hitting .346 w/22hr and 69 rbi.  that ranks 2nd, t-3rd, and 2nd in the nl.  lee is having a great year, but pujols is a great player, and the real triple crown threat.  also looks like scott rolen is finally hitting after coming back from the dl, which is bad news for the rest of baseball.

    oh and finally, a cards trade rumor that im backing...lol.  i would love to see the cards trade for cincy's adam dunn.  we're gonna need atleast 1 of next year when larry walker retires, probably 2 if we dont resign reggie sanders, and dunn is a great fit.  he is only 25, has a .400+ on base percentage, and will hit u 40hrs/year.  yeah he strikes out alot, but so does jim edmonds and hes the best cf in baseball.  i think we could get him for either suppan or marquis and a young outfielder skip schumacker...or we might have to give up adam wainwright...anybody but anthony reyes (our #1 pitching prospect) is ok w/me...ok, just a thought.

    ok after a crazy day, everything is back to normal.  my #1 kitty is sleeping at my feet, and the cards are riding a 4 game win streak.  they beat the dbacks 2-1 tonight.  it was an amazing game, a good ol' fashioned pitchers duel between chris carpenter and javier vazquez.  carp went 8 innings gave up 1 run on 3 hits, walked 2 and struck out 7...simply amazing.  he improved to 13-4 and lowered his era to 2.51...can someone say cy young?  the cards are now 54-30 andlead the 2nd place astros by 12.5 games.

    coast to coast am is set to start in about 20 minutes, but the fun usually doesnt kick off till about 2 eastern.  so if you're not busy and wanna hear a guy talk about how humans are definitely the product of genetic engineering by a race of super intelligent aliens, check it out...ill be listening, so if youre listening too, itll be like were in bed together...lol...woo-hoo!!!

    ok well i got my back on track today.  yesterday i had to get up at 8am so i cuold drop my car off at 9am, so they could just let it sit there, so i could pick it up at 5pm.  today i slept in till 2pm...holy crap, im a lazy bitch...lol.  rolled out of bed, played w/the kitties, let them outside, turnd on the computer, answered some mindsay fan mail, and then noticed that 40 people got blown up in london and 700 were wounded.

    violence creates more violence.  if u wanna get a good take on it, check out poonannypie 's blog.  im just worn out thinking about violence.  i will probably have more to say about it later, maybe i wont.  but heres my final thought.  violence against our fellow humans is totally unnecessary and uncalled for unless one is defending themselves, their family, or their property.  please feel free to try to prove me wrong.

    here is my biggest problem with the reaction to the london bombings...everyone is blaming al qaida and no one can prove a damn thing!!!  if this had happened 10 years ago everyone would have blamed the IRA, why, b/c its conveniant.  instead of actually investigating the bombings, lets just say we know who did it, its a lot easier that way?  i mean afterall, who else could have done it?  yup, it must have been al qaida...now lets head to the pub and plan our next step in western imperialism.

    anybody who reads my silly lil blog knows what i think about 9/11 and 7/7..ive heard it dubbed this already...so ill save u the lecture.  but heres my talking point for this post.  one of the arguments against a governemental conspiracy on 9/11 and 7/7 is that no civilized govt would intentionally kill its own people.  well lets look at the numbers.  the usa has about 250,000,000 people...about 3,000 died in 9/11.  yes 3,000 is a lot of people, but not when compared to the toal population.  in fact its only one thousandth of one percent, or 1 in 100,000.  if u and 100,000 people were promised $1million if u walked across the street and told that one of u would die, would u take the chance?  i sure would, b/c its such a small percentage. 

    so if u and i would take these chances, doesnt it stand to reason that a greedy govt whose ultimate goal is to make money off of the war that will surely follow this attack, also go ahead w/the plan?  i know, this is all statistics and specualtion and hypothetical arguments, but think about 1 in 100,000, how little a number it really is, and think about a govt that intentionally sent "naked" soldiers to view hiroshima knowing they were being exposed to deadly levels of radiation;  think about a govt who has assassinated countless worldleaders only to install dictators in their place; and think about the numerous oddities about 9/11 that alone dont prove anything, but together, sure seem to add up to something mighty unsettling.

    ok, back to time travel.  sorry im jumping around, but i wanted to give a quick game update.  and ill probably tell u how the game ends, b/c i know all u care sooo much about the cards...lol.  i believe in parallel dimensions/worlds, where parallel people exist.  their worlds are just like ours except major events happened differently in their world, so history has been altered.  i dunno, usually i can explain it alot better, bu ti need some sugar to wake me up.  anyways, the coast to coast thing is about a guy tha met a time traveler from the future who was sent to warn the present about a possible cataclysmic event, kinda like the terminator, if youve seen that.  ive heard him a few times before, and hes alil crazy, but hes also fun to listen to and makes me think.  i dont subscribe to the idea that u can go back in time but cant do anything to change your present.  i think changes just create more alternate realities.

    ok, heres the deal...lol.  boy, i bet that got your attention.  i was listening to coast to coast am last night, it was a repeat, but iwas new to me.  the tipic was how researchers have noticed a very slow in the y chromosome.  they hypothesized that in about 100,000 years  the y chromosome would no longer be found in humans.  big deal u say?  well it just so happens that this certain chromosome is what makes guys, well, guys.  in other words, if scientists are correct and nothing is done to halt this problem, men could start to die off and become extinct in 100,000 years or so.

    wow, and i thought i couldnt find a good man.  imagine how hard its gonna be for the women of the future...yikes!!!  any guy w/a job or high school education is gonna be grade A prime rib.  i experienced a lil bit of this when i was in korea for a summer.  i didnt go there looking for a guy, but its still nice to interact w/guys...lol.  obviously, most of the guys there were korean...duh.  it was nice meeting new people, but i spoke nothing but the most primitive korean and they had difficulty communicating quickly and deeply in english.  the americans i encountered fell into 3 categoreis.  missionaries, who were only interested in converting anyone they came into contact with, soldiers stationed in korea whose only goal was to get the american girl into bed as quickly as possible, and ex-soldiers, who were basically older, fatter versions of #2.  the experience has left me a lil scarred, to be perfectly honest.  i really believe itll take me another nice guy or two to really get over the experience of being treated as a total piece of meet by dozens of guys.  i mean i didnt wanna date any of them, just wanted to hang out, talk, maybe see a movie, but all they thought about was sex.

    anyways, its just interesting to consider the law of supply and demand, and how it certainly apllies to "love."

    beware, im in one of my moods again.  i woke up today at about 1pm.  yes i am a lzay bitch and am wasting my entire summer of adventure.  this sumemr is really turning into "the summer of george" where, on seinfeld, george has decided to live life to its fullest for an entire summer, but then breaks his leg and cant do anything.  so i rolled out of bed, and even though i slept till after noon, i woke up tired.  i let the cats out, fed them, played w/them, i cant remember the order.  then i checked out my mindsay fan mail, went to someof my fav midsayers' sites, and then blah.

    i just feel useless, like i have so much inside of me that could be used for good, or at the very least fun, but im just wasting my life away.  check out poonannypie 's blog, he can better express what im feeling.  i mean i just feel like, if i die nobody will care, no one will miss me, i do nothing but use of oxygen and resources on this planet.  relax, im not gonna kill myself...lol.  i just feel...blah.

    ok, well thats my list for now.  its off to walmart w/me.  im really in a weird mood.  this could be a very creative day for me or a very sad one.  hope you're having fun, being safe, and getting thru life the best way u know how.  sigh

    well yesterday was a strange day.  i had fun shopping at wal-mart.  wow, that should tell u what a huge nerd i am...i had fun grocery shopping...lol.  i was a lil pissed off that they were uot of my usual deodorant, so i tried a new kind...yeah, i know, im a real thrill seeker.  ill let u know if its up to snuff...lol.  andif it is, i may give a product endorsement.  whenever i go to the big W, i always get stuck in the slowest moving line.  u know, the one where the guy is trying to use his debit card to buy $300 of beer, but knows damn well hes only got $29.17 in the bank.  or the lady w/the 15 kids who are touvhing everything w/their snotty, grubby hands.  or the line where the old lady behind u thinks that she will be able to check out quicker if she can get her groceries up on the counter, so she starts pushing her cart into u.  does this stuff happen to anybody else, or is it just me?

    anyways, i got checked out, and iw as hungry so i was gonna grab some fast food.  thats when the voices in my head started battlin' it out.  ok, anne is me, the sane, rational, friendly girl, but she has an evil twin sister...not to be confused w/my real life gay, twin brother...lol...her name is a-dog, and shes a thug!!!

a-dog:  lets get some kfc, im hungry bitch (yes she does swear at anne)

anne:  but we just got $50 worth of food, im sure we can find something good to eat

a-dog:  dont talk back to me skank, i didnt get this eye patch fighting for america to be told by no skinny, flat chested, commie whore that i couldnt get me some bizcuits. (a-dog wears an eye patch, and thinks she fought in the korean war...she has also been blessed w/a set of perfect double D's....life is sooo not fair)

anne:  hey im not a commie, i just think the rich only care about themselves, and they just try to screw the ppor and working class whenever they can

a-dog:  oh yeah, then how come nobody ever tries to screw u...huh, probably cuz u look like a 10 year old boy, but it must be nice not having to wear a bra!!!

anne:  (starts to cry)  i hate u a-dog!!!  im never taking u to kfc ever again!!!!

    yeah so even though a-dog made me cry, i won the kfc battle.  i felt a lil bad even though shes sooo mean to me, so i had a chicken pot pie when i got home.  halfway through, i heard a knock on my door.  i figured it was oneof a-dog's home girlz coming over to jack my jaw...nope i wasnt that lucky.  it was travelling salesmen determined to save my ass from the fires of hell.  3 dudes wanted me to go to a christian youth meeting they were having.  i got rid of them quickly, but i was pissed off.  i mean, i dont go to door asking people to come to my stl cardinal meetings...hmmmm, note to self, to increase attendance, think of inviting others to the meeting.  anyways, i just think its rude to bother people that dont want to be bothered.  and im too nice to throw things at them.  maybe one day ill let a-d0g answer the door.  her eye patch is pretty scary.  it has a picture of a snake on it.  oh well, ill ask the owl what he thinks about it.  see you soon.

    ok, im done stuffing burgers down my throat, so heres how the evening went.  i went to the baptist meeting at 7pm.  the service was pretty non-descript, but people kept looking at me b/c i was taking notes.  i was doing this partly b/c i needed some baptist material for my time travelling cat novel, partly b/c i needed points to hit them w/later, and thirdly, i just knew it would make them suspiciouys and piss me...actually that part was a-dog's idea...lol.

    the service ended and then is tarted talking to one of the baptist ministers.  i said i had some questions and just wanted to talk.  he eagerly sat me down and we started talking.  3 1/2 hours and 3 ministers later, they basically thru me out!!!!  i listened patiently to their bible thumping, but they wold rarely answer any of my questions.  they just seemed to quote more scriputre that had nothing to do w/my original question.  eventually they were really starting to get annoying so i let a-dog out.  now keep in mind their were 4 baptist ministers against lil ol'a-dog...lol.

    i started by saying that i didnt believe the bible wa the literal word of god and therefore anything they quoted from the bible was no more valid than my john steinbeck book.  i asked them to prove some things to me w/o the use of the bible...they could not.  later i told them that if i were to start a cult, i would use the following tactics.  first, present them w/a holy book that glorified me.  second, make it a sin to worship any god but me.  third, tell them that the only book inspired by me was book A.  fourth, tell them that they may have to suffer a alil now by working for me and giving me their money, but they wuold be rewarded in the next life.  fifth, if they didnt heed my word, they would suffer an eternity of torture.  sixth, anyone who didnt believe was a fool and that outsiders wold try to tempt u w/earthlypleasures.  then i said, "sound familiar?"

    well that started us arguing and one of the ministers laid down a challenge.  he asked me to read the new testament of the bible.  i said i would if he read half of the koran.  he said he had once read 58 pages of it, but it was such garbage he stopped.  i replied that why should i open my mind and read something that i dont believe to be the word of god when he would not do the same.  when he could not give me a clear answer...he bullshitted awhile...we ended our lil party...lol.

    wow, im sooo proud of myself.  i held my own against 4 baptist ministers, and in the end showed they were hypocrits...atleast thats how i feel...lol.  oh and i was also accused of worshiping the false god of knowledge.  one of the guys said read too many books...lol.  well, it was quite a night and i did get some good bible passages to use in my novel.  hope you had as much fun tonight as i did, see you soon.

    thanks for all the feedback on my adventures to bible land...lol.  i think im going back tonight, i mean theres no baseball, so what else could i do?  tonight though, im just gonna take some more notes on the service, i bet it will be another scare tactic sermon, and try to start shaping eli's character as the baptist minister.  i also have a few questions that re bugging me about being "born again," there are things that i just dont understand.  hopefully i can get those answered.

    i listened to coast to coast am last night, as i do every night.  i have insomnia so it seriously takes me about 2-3 hours to fall asleep once i lay down.  the guest, a journalist, said there are already 10+ terrorist nukes in america just waiting to be exploded.  bin laden believes he needs to kill 4 million americans as revenge for the iraqis that died due to un sanctions after the first gulf war.  2 millon of these must be children.  i guess im gonna take the "bury my head in the sand" line on this one.  i mean if a terrorist group already has 10+ nukes in america and is determined to set them off, what can i do about it?  when/if they go off, ill deal w/it, if they dont, hurray!!!  i dunno, it doesnt really scare me, b/c i dont see how i could stop it, so why worry.  oh well, maybe a-dog will have an answer...

    ok, so i went back to the  christian service that i went to last night.  i had 6 questions i wanted answered.  i sat thru the service, listened took notes, and then everybody took off.  except one minister who just repeated the same things for abut an hour.  no one wanted to answer my questions or help me understand better...what a waste.  apparently the job of a missionary is to blurt out the same garbage over and over again, and not let the person ask a question.  so yeah, im pissed off.

    oh well, i guess ill just check out some porn and atleast make myself feel a lil better...lol.  a-dog really loves pics of group sex..shes soooo dirty.

How the Government Staged the London Bombings in Ten Easy Steps

Ten Step Method To Staging a Terrorist Attack

1) Hire a Crisis Management firm to set up an exercise that parallels the terrorist attack you are going to carry out. Have them run the exercise at the precise locations and at the very same time as the attack. If at any stage of the attack your Arabs get caught, tell the police it was part of an exercise.

2) Hire four Arabs and tell them they're taking part in an important exercise to help defend London from terrorist attacks. Strap them with rucksacks filled with deadly explosives. Tell the Arabs the rucksacks are dummy explosives and wouldn't harm a fly.

3) Tell four Arabs to meet up at London Underground and disperse, each getting on a different train. Make sure Arabs meet in a location where you can get a good mug shot of them all on CCTV which you can later endlessly repeat to drooling masses on television.

4) While four Arabs are in London, plant explosives in their houses in Leeds. Plant some explosives in one of their cars in Luton for the police to later discover. Remember that Qu'ran and flight manual in the hijackers' car? Ha ha, they fell for that one hook, line and sinker. No need to change tactics on this one.

5) Before the bombings take place, make sure you warn any of your buddies who are scheduled to be anywhere near where the bombs go off. If this gets leaked to the press, just deny it.

6) 4th Arab goes out partying in London night before and ends up getting out of bed late. No worries, the 9/11 'hijackers' did the same thing but that didn't cause us a big problem. 4th Arab catches bus to see if other Arabs are waiting for him. 4th Arab starts hearing about explosions in the London Underground. 4th Arab comes to the realization that this he is being set up and freaks out. 4th Arab starts fiddling in his rucksack. 4th Arab sets bomb off and is blown up.

If you hired any additional Arabs and they also got wind of the set up, make sure tere are GPS locators in the rucksacks so you can have police snipers ready to kill them before they can blow the whistle.

7) After the bombs go off, put out a story for over an hour that the explosions are a simple electrical fault. This gives you cover time to make sure the lazy bus Arab is dead and any other hired Arabs who reneged are also dead. Make sure any CCTV footage that doesn't support your official story is either seized or destroyed.

8) A few hours after the bombings, have one of your boys post an 'Al-Qaeda statement' claiming responsibility. Don't worry about the whole 'misreferencing the Qu'ran' thing, these idiots don't have the attention spans to figure it out.

9) After you have made sure that all the Arabs are dead and you are managing the story accordingly, wait for four days until the police piece together the story and find the explosives you planted in Leeds and in the car in Luton. Remember that Qu'ran and flight manual in the hijackers' car? Ha ha, they fell for that one hook, line and sinker. No need to change tactics this time either. The time delay will convince the gullible public that a real investigation is taking place. Create a background of the hired Arabs being militant Muslims. The drooling masses, as was the case with the '9/11 hijackers,' will ignore stories of neighbours saying they were the quiet, educated types who liked children and playing sports.

10) Sit back and enjoy as Blair and his minions grandstand in front of television cameras about staying the course in the war on terror. The pay raise, extra agency funding, and power to strip more freedoms and liberties made the ten easy steps to staging a terrorist attack a worthwhile venture. The dozens of dead people were necessary collateral damage. This is a dirty war, we need to be less moral than the terrorists to defeat them.

And that's how the government staged the bombings in ten easy steps.

Granted, you can interchange different pieces of the puzzle. The bombers could be real terrorists that knew exactly what they were doing. All you would need to do is control the 'mastermind' behind the attack and make sure his boys carried out the job in the way you wanted. Voila. he time.

    ok, i love road trips.  i know i just got back, but im leaving for another one tomorrow night.  this one will be even more fun than the trip to virginia b/c i get to drive my sexy lil car, im going to st louis to see the cards play, and while i love my family, its way cooler to go alone.  anyways, ill tell u about wonderful st. louis when i get back on fri.

    friday morning i actually was able to drag myself out of bed at 6:15 in the morning.  i cleverly took a shower the night before so that allowed me an extra 15 minutes of sleep...woo-hoo!!!  a-dog was really bitching about having ot get up before noon, so i told her to go back to sleep for awhile, i could take care of things.  of course she did, and didnt wake up till we got to virginia!!!!

    ok so we're driving a dodge intrepid w/5 adults in it.  no biggy for a short trip but from ny to virginia it was gonna be a problem.  my brother started out driving, i was up front, and my mom, dad, and uncle were in the back.  basically we all drove for 2 hours then rotated counter clockwise.  i drove next, then my mom, etc.  this was a good plan and nobody got bogged down w/driving.  in fact only 2 things slowed us up.  the most annoying was the horrible traffic in virginia.  we were making great time the whole trip, but with about 25 miles to go, we got stuck in an hour and a half traffic jam!!!!  it really sucked...grrrrrr!!!  a-dog kept spitting on others people's cars in the traffic jam.  one person swore at her and a-dog threatened to bite the lady's tires...wow, those southerners had never seen anything like a-dog before.

    the other thing that slowed us down, but was hilarious, was my mom's and uncle's bladder...lol.  we made it the first 2 hours w/o an unscheduled stop, but then at our first break they both slipped up and drank some coffee.  well, it was now my turn to drive and we made it exactly 15 minutes before an emergency pull over!!!!  it was sooo funny.  they didnt need a break every 15 minutes, but we lost some time w/numerous potty breaks.  i have been blessed w/an iron bladder and a-dog just pees out the window when she has to go.

    anyways we finally got there got some  good food and just hung out for the night.  me and my cousins went swimming, got lots of attention from the boys..i think they were thinking that if i had a-dogs tits id be perfect...and had some yummy burgers and hotdogs. 

    the actually family reunion was on saturday.  it was a typical family reunion.  everybody caught up w/stories and news from everybody else.  my one uncle (a baptist minister, yes im serious....lol) broke out his guitar and sang, eventually we got him to play some "modeern songs"...lol.  we had a super huge bbq, got stung by some bees, spent way too long in the water, got totally sunburned and wrinkled, visited some civil war sites (a-dog challenged a couple from south carolina to Round 2 of the war), and just had a great time.

    it was great to see my aunts and uncles, cousins,etc again.  it was also great to be able to relax and swim and just be silly.  the trip back was pretty uneventful.  we made much better time and it was great to get home.  plus the cards went 3-0 when i was gone...woo-hoo!!!  well hope everybody had a great night, be safe and watch out for the bees, b/c they're always watching out for u...bye bye.

    ok, me and a-dog kinda have a temporary truce going.  in fact as we speak, im dancing w/her.  she is a really sexy dancer i have to admit.  me, i kinda dance like a nerdy white girl, my best move is the robot.  and no i didnt steal that from the gecko, i was keepin' it rizeal, long before him.

    oh about the truce.  well shes really excited about the trip, too.  i wanna see the cards win, she wants to get old guys to buy her beer at the game.  prices at the games are outrageous.  i think i beer (20 oz) waslike 6.50!!!  yikes, good think i hardly ever drink.  but a-dog has said shes gonna show missouri what a real ny can do, so either i have to pay for her drinks or the old guys so.  i hope a-dog can get someone else to buy her drinks.  anyways...lol.

    so im really going crazy around here.  i mean i know im leaving for my super trip in like 30 1/2 hours and theres not much for me to do around here.  i ll pack tomorrow night, ive gotten plenty of clean clothes, and a-dog doesnt wear underpants, so we're all set.  between me not needing a bra, and a-dog dissing panties, we only need to do the laundry of one normal girl...woo-hoo!!!! 

    my car has new tires, new brakes, just got the oil changed, got plenty of gas, there really isnt anything for me to do excpet wait for the trip.  i think ill burn a new cd for the trip, not sure what ill put on it, hmmmm.  well im babbling about nothing here, say hi if u see me on the road, and guys, a-dog will be happy to flash u...trust me.

    6 states, 2 cards' games, 1 win, 1 sunburn, 3 traffic jams, 1 speeding ticket, and way too mormons adds up to a great road trip!!!  i left about 10 pm tue night and just drove thru the night.  i stopped when i needed to, and made great time on the way out.  i got to st. louis, checked into the super cool econo lodge, just a few blocks from busch stadium, took al il nap and then it was game time.

    game one was great (game 3 of the series)!!!  i got their earlier and got to see batting practice.  and if it wasnt for the sun, i would have got a ball!!!  i was sitting in the left field bleachers and carlos lee hit a ball right at me, but i lost it in the sun.  i was scared i was gonna get hit w/it, and i almost did...lol.  the bal llanded about 5 feet to my right, but bu the time my eyes could see again, some jerk had it...grrr!!!!  a-dog wanted to bite him and steal the ball, but i said that wouldnt be lady like.

    the cards won the game 4-2.  mark mulder pitched a great game and albert pujols and john rodriguez homered...woo-hoo!!!  it was jr's first mlb home run.  the game was awesome, and so were the hotdogs.  there were a couple guys from illinois in fron tof me and they were pretty cool.  we chatted about the game and the cards, and they seemed to be pretty intelligent.  basically the game was just amazing.

    my second game 7/21 was a day game, and it was hot!!!  i was in the sun most of the game and got totally sunburned.  oh well, no biggy, im used toi t...lol.  the cards got beat 12-7 this game and i blame the mormons.  they were there as a group and sang "take me out to the ball game"...stupid mormons cursed the cards....grrrrr!!!!  a-dog didnt wear a bra to the game and b/c she was wearing a white tank top and sweating her boobs were showing.  she got a lot of attention, and everybody pretty much ignored me...thanks a-dog!!!!

    after ythe game i went up in the arch and looked around the city.  it was really breath taking.  i dont like heights, but the arch is really great.  on the way back to the hotel, a black guy was asking for change and said he wasnt racist, i said "great", but a-dog said she was and barked at him.  heleft us alone.

    i stayed in the rest of the night except for some food at tgi fridays.  i checked out the next morning and started the drive home.  i was making great time till a nice man from the indiana highway patrol pulled me over and gave me a ticket...lol.  i never get upset about getting tickets.  i mean i was speeding, its his job to stop me.  i did 85 thru illinois w/o getting caught, so i won a state and the cops won a state, no biggy!!!  i think the ticket will be for like $150, which sucks, but oh well, o noe made me speed. 

    the rest of the drive home was pretty uneventful, except for ohio.  i really do hate ohio.  i got stuck in 2 traffic jams and they cost me about 2 hours...grrr!!!!   one of my favorite hobbies is to check out my fellow motorists to see if they look like famous people.  i saw fidel castro, mick jagger, and phylis diller...lol.  its also fun to see how angry your fellow drivers get and then pretend to be madder than them!!!  yeah im an idoit...lol.

    all in all the trip was great, but i think i have ot settle down and get a job now...grrrrrr!!!!  the summer of excitement/adventure was great, but now its time to be an adult, or at least pretend to be one.

    hey everybody its me, or is it a-dog????  its me...lol.  i usually sit on my ass all day and never have much fun or excitiment, but the past week has been crazy busy for me.  did i just say crazy busy???  had the family reunion in virginia, then the great trip to st. louis, and today i went ot a live WWE show...woo-hoo!!!  thats right, lil ol' anne went to a live wrestling show.  me, my older brother, his wife, and one of their friends went to the raw show in watertown.  the matches were great, and it was a lot of fun to be an idiot for a day.  good and evil were clearly laid out, most of the time the good guys won, and i got to yell and scream at muscular guys wearing almost no clothes...although i was strangely aroused when the women were wrestling...hmmmm, maybe a-dog took over for a bit.  my favortie macth of the day was the big show versus chris masters.  the big show is sooo funny and he won, so hurray!!!!!

    oh we have a new edition to the family.  a famil yof cardinals has moved into the yard.  no, i am not making this up.  a daddy, momma, and baby cardinal live in oneof our trees in the back yard and are always chirping and flying around, teasing the cats.  is this a sign from the great owl that the cards are destined to win the world series?  i sure hope so.  i guess if they get eaten by the cats thats a sign, too...lol.

    ok, well thats about all for me for now.  the cards-cubs game is coming on in a bit.  if we can win tonight, we'll have finished up our 10 game homestand at 7-3, pretty good.  hope everybody has a great day, stay safe, and dont forget to smile atleast once a day...bye bye for now.

    wow, when im running low on money i can really get things done!!!  the trip to st. louis was basically the end of my summer of adventure, so it was time to find a job.  i noticed the old pizza place where i had worked the last 2 summers was hiring, and well, im now a proud employee of domino's pizza..woo-hoo!!!

    yes, i know what im getting myself into, ive worked there before.  i think (and hope) it will only be a temporary fix until i hear back fromt he state about a civil service job.  i figure i can work there thru oct without going totally insane...lol.  i know its an entry level job, but i need money, and working, no matter what the job makes me feel like im not a total bum. 

    i got hired on the spot, i guess b/c i have a car that runs...lol.  also, they put me on this weeks schedule which is awesome.  i work a total of 14 hours on fri and sat, so ill actually have alil money at the end of the week.  maybe i can get a-dog to help me deliver to teen aged boys, they always tip better when they see boobs.

    ok, ive gotten away from my roots lately, so this blog is gonna be a look arond major league baseball by the net's cutest and smartest baseball blogger...woo-hoo!!!

    the cards just went 6-4 on a 10 game homestand against houston, milwaukee, and the cubs.  they took 3 of 3 from hou, split 4 w/mil, and lost 2 of 3 to the cubs.  at first i was upset, b/c i got caught up in he hype of the cardinals being invincible.  then i slapped myself in the face, actually a-dog slapped me and bit me, and looked at the cards' lineup.  wow, we are missing 4 of our 8 regular starters!!!  thats like being a boxer w/one arm!!!  3B scott rolen, LF reggie sanders, RF larry walker, and C yadier molina are all on the DL and we still took 6 of 10 from the 3 best teams in the division!!!!  i know everybody has injuries to deal with, but losing half of your starters at the same time is insane.  b/c of this the cards lead will mostl ikely shrink alil bit till we get the boys back.  its "down" to 10.5 games now and i can see it dropping as far as 7, but no biggy.

    one positive about all the injuries is that the cards may go after a top of the line OF before the trading deadline.  this wold serve a couple purposes.  first, it would help this year for the stretch run and playoffs, and escond he would be in our lineup for '06.  i like john rodriguez al ot, but its only been 6 games folks.  lets see him play the rest of the year before we convincve ourselves we have another pujols.

    phil nevin of the padres turned down a trade to baltimore.  is this a surprise?  i mean if u sign a guy to a contract that says he can veto a trade to baltimore and then he does, whats the news?  i think he made the right decision.  i mean hes on a first place team, is building a new house in sandiego, and he doesnt want to move his family.  way to stand up for your rights.

    random toughts:  houston will win the nl wild card and will meet the cards in a rematch of the '04 nlcs...curt schilling is not a closer, move him back to the rotation, boston...witness w/harrison ford is just a great movie...when it comes to baseball trades, about 99% of fans dont understand that u cant trade your crappy players for other teams' stars, dont believe me, just listen to sports talk radio...no matter how much credit u give him, albert pujols is under rated

    ok, i was sitting here on the computer and i felt like somebody was watching me.  it turned out to be one of my borthers cats.  he is totally black, sitting in a black bag, in a dark room.  i looked over and saw him black and kinda jumped...lol.  now he has his eyes closed and i can hardly see him...lol.  yeah it sone of those days.

    as some of u may know, im writing a book or a colleciton of short stories about a time travelling cat.  he has 9 lives to live out and each life will be a lil short story of its own that when thrown together will make up the book.  pretty straight-forward, right?  well im still trying to nail down the 9 lives.  here what i have so far.

    so if anyone has any ideas for the 9th life (they have not been put in order yet) or any suggestions let me know, and yes i know im crazy, all authors are.

    ok, if u heard some crazygirl grinding her teeth all thru the night, it wasnt a-dog, it was me...grrrrrrr!!!!  the cards lost to san diego 2-1 last night.  it was a great game, jake peavey and our starter jason marquis pitched great games.  going into the 9th it was tied 1-1.  sand diego went to their bullpen b/c peavey was obviously tired.  tony larussa (our manager) thought marquis could go another inning.  wrong!!!

    i have no problem w/marquis starting the 9th.  he had a good 8th inning, so lets see if he can keep it going, but as soon as someone got on, he shuold have been out of there.  well w/runners on 1st and 2nd, i heard the cards' anouncers say there was nobody up in the bullpen and i knew we were gonna lose the game.  what was larussa thinking?  marquis had pitched a great game, was now totally exhausted (his pitch count was over 130!!!). get him out of there and let him gain some confidence from a great start.  but he gave up an rbi single, took the loss, and left w/a bad feeling about the night.

    the csrds have been great all season, so now that houston is playing great, only 9.5 games out, im starting to get a lil worried.  maybe thats my way of staying interested thru a long and easy season.  but i dunno, w/all these injuries our offense is bad!!!!  now this is no knock on the defense or the heart of these guys, but last night, except for 3 guys, i was sure they were easy outs!!!!  some of this had to do w/jake peavey being awesome, but when we face houston in the nlcs, clemens, oswalt, and pettite are all awesome.  pujols is pujols and i always expect a hit from him.  i also have faith in john rodriguez (a rookie) and abraham nunez, playing 3B for the injured scott rolen, but thats it.  jim edmonds is having a horrible july, so is eckstein, grudzielanek, w/yadier molina hurt, our catchers are easy outs, and john msbry playing in rf last night looked lost. 

    molina, rolen, and reggie sanders will all be back sometime in august, so they will all help, especially sanders.  however, i think we need some help now.  i dont want a division race, i dont want to see our lead slip under 5 games.  our pitching is incredible, lets get another outfield bat (adam dunn) and start slapping people around like we did for the first half of the season.  jason marquis showed he is a good pitcher, lets move him in the dunn deal and call up reyes or wainwright.

    ok, im done.  ranting really does make me feel better.  by writing this down it as if ive spoken directly to larussa and gm walt jockety...wow, lunch will taste soooo much better nowthat ive saved the world.

    wow, its 5pm and i really havent done much today.  actually ive done alot, it just doesnt seem like it...lol.  ive basically been reading all day.  my fav author is john steinbeck and i have a stack of his books.  some of read, some i havent, so i decided to dive in.  i read "of mice and men" this morning.  i really like the book.  the firendhsip of george and lenny is great, and the dream of owning your own land, being your own boss is universal.

    next i started a book called "the red pony."  i had not read this book before, but its been great.  its a colleciton of 4 stories all about the same group of characters.  ive still got the last of the 4 stories to go and though the stories arent fairy tales w/happy endings, necessarily, they are real.  thats one of the things i really love about steinbeck, hes characters are not perfect, but real.  cathy ames in "east of eden" is absolutely pure evil and totally wonderful.

   anyways, thats been my day.  the cards are still stuck out on the west coast and their game doesnt even start till after 1030...grrrrrr!!!! so ill definitely finish my second book of the day before the game.  i just love the way a book smells, the wonderful feeling of finishing a good book, its soo much betterthan tv or movies.  oh well, im certainly a nerd...woo-hoo!!!

    my crack team of reporters, well actually me and a-dog, have gotten a scoop that manny ramirez will be traded before the july 31 mlb trading deadline...wow!!!  the mets, red sox, and tampa bay devil rays are in intense discussions about a 3 way trade.  heres how it might go down:

mets:  manny ramirez & danny baez

drays:  4 high ranking prospects

sox:  aubrey huff & mike cameron

    this is not just a rumor, the 3 teams have had serious discussions all day.  if the trade for ramirez is going to happen it makes sense that more than 2 teams will be involved.  stay tuned to see if im an idiot or a genius...lol.

    well i made it thru my first day of work...what, you didnt think i could make it?  it was good to work a day shift before my long day tomorrow night.  the day shift is slower, so i had time to get back into the swing of things.  im not crazy about working, but as jobs go, pizza deliver is a pretty fun, easy summer job.  i like the flexible schedule, the ability to rock out to my own music when im in my car, the laid back work atmosphere, and always having money in your pocket from the tips.  tomorrow im working 4 to close, so i should be pretty much exhausted, but also should have made a bunch in tips.  ill let you know what happens, i mean dont i always...lol.

    the cards got back on track w/a 9-4 thumping off the dodgers.  jim edmonds, john mabry, and david eckstein all had hrs.  albert pujols and john rodriguez also had good games, and the billpen was awesome...4 shutout innings!!!  mark mulder pitches tomorrow, so we shoudl win the series 2-1 and wrap up the west coast trip at 4-2.  after that were home for 7 games, 4 against the marlins then 3 against atlanta. 

    well thats about all for me right now.  it feels good to be working again.  i took a nap after work and didnt feel guilty about it, b/c i actually worked today...lol.  have a great day gang, talk to u soon.

    hey gang, im pretty tired.  i just got out of work and im in such a good mood.  first off, i was sooo wrong about the manny deal, im sorry.  nothing happened, i guess i should just stop trying to figure out the red sox.  again, sorry.

    since i was at work all day, i didnt know how the cards were doing, i was going crazy.  thankfully, they won 7-5 in 11 innings, and the hero was jim edmonds..woo-hoo!!!  he didnt even start but finished w/2 hits a hr and 3 rbis.  since i lectured him 4 games ago, he has 3hr and 10 rbis...yes!!!!  the win, along w/a houston lost means the cards have a 9.5 gamelead in the nl central.  they finished up a nice 4-2 west coast trip and will be home for 7 against florida and atlanta.

    im also happy, b/c i had a nice night at work.  nothing too crazy happened, i didnt get any phony calls, and i made over $60 in tips...woo-hoo!!!  it sems that working class people are the best tippers b/c they know what is like to work.  in general, rich peope are very bad tippers, and poor people dont have the money...but if they cant tip, they should probably save the money they paid for the pizza for something better...just a thought.

    oh and theres a guy at work thats a writer, too.  we got talking and shared our story ideas.  it was really weird to be talking about a novel at the pizza place...lol.  well, im gonna check out the sports world and get some chocloate/marshmellow ice cream and just relax.  hope youre having a great day, too.  hope to hear from u soon.

    every society has and needs heroes.  by looking up to people that are strong, brave, beautiufl, funny, etc.  the whole society is uplifted in a way.  many of my heroes are baseball players.  today, one of my heroeshas let me down, and i feel like i have been kicked in the stomach.

    i rolled out of bed this morning, ok, this afternoon, grabbed a soda and some m&ms and hopped on the computer.  first stop, of course, espn.com.  i looked at the screen and just felt like asking why?  baltimore oriole's firstbaseman rafael palmeiro was suspended today for using steroids!!! 

    he has never been a cardinal, but i have always liked raffy.  he was a great player and a great guy.  he never got into trouble off the field and was always a joy to watch on the field.  only a couple weeks ago, he collected his 3,000 hit, and w/his 500+ hrs, had done somethign that only 4 men in the history of baseball had done...himself, hank aaron, willie mays, and eddie murray...not bad company.  he had been accused of using steroids in the past, but this season certainly seemed to validate him.  at the age of 40 he was putting up solid numbers, .280 18hr 59rbi, and with the steeped up steroid testing, i felt raffy was showing everybody that he could do it the right way even after 40...sigh.

    cheatins is a part of baseball.  old timers threw spitballs, pitchers still doctor the ball, and batters look for every edge they can get.  steroids is just another form of cheating.  i guess im not pset that a player cheated, im upset that one of my heroes was not perfect, and that he even needed to cheat...

    wow, i expect incredible things from him, but every game he pitches, chris carpenter just blows me away!!!!  tonight he pitched a complete game, gave up one run, walked a batter, and struck out 6 as the cards beat the fla marlins 3-1.  he is know 16-4 w/a 2.26 era.  he leads all of baseball in wins is 2ns in era, and is 3rd in the nl in strikeouts...yikes!!!  and top that off w/the fact that he has beaten dontrel willis, andy pettitte, roy oswalt, and oh yeah, roger clemens, so hes not just pitching against other teams' stiffs.  heis beating other teams' best pitchers.  and apparently no one outside of st.louis and my lil blog world really notices.  oh well, come october when he wins the cy young and albert pujols has the mvp, just remember the crazy girl in ny...lol.

    ok, ive been working at my new/old job now for about a week.  to refresh your memory i work at a dominos pizza and im a driver.  the employees of dominos usually fall into 3 categories.

1-guys that are way too hardcore about dominos...they have fastest pizza making contest or want to have the best delivery time of all the drivers

2-scumbags who have no work ethic, are irresponisble, and are usually on drugs

3-the normal people...work here b/c its decent money and realize that even if its not their ultimate career goal, they still should work hard b/c someone is paying them

    i would like to think that i fall into category 3, but who knows...lol.  one thing ive notcied about the category 2 people is that they hate working and always complain, yet when they get their hours cut back, they also complain...huh?  we have a simple schedule systme at work, u can basically request whenever u wanna work.  if u want friday off, fine, just put an x there.  so im amazed when people fill out the schedule then say they cant work on a day they didnt cross out!!!  i dunno, its just insane to me. 

    i was scheduled for like 25 hours this week, but will end up w/almost 40 b/c people just dont want to worek their shifts, and im always willing to cover for them.  today i was scheduled for 5-7 or 8 (depending on how busy we are), but a guy called and said he might need me to close for him...lol.  no biggy, i have no life, just give me the hours.  it gives me more money, and the managers love me.  as a result, i get the super good shifts.

    anyways, that was my dominos rant for the day.  hope youre all having fun.  if youre in the neighborhood say hi, if not ill talk to u after ive taken over the world...

    holy crap, how did i forget to tell my wonderful mindsay family about this???  i bought a banjo yesterday!!!  yeah i know, youre thinking:  "wow, anne.  u were the collest chick on mindsay before, but now w/abanjo youre even cooler!!!!"  anyways...lol.  i have never played a string instrument before, so its gonna take alot of work.  ive been practicing like crazy and its sooo much fun.  i can already play the opening to "dixie"...lol.  im soo proud of myself. 

    the place where i bought it said they could put me in touch w/a guy who gives lessons, so i think im gonna fool aroubd w/it for a week or so, and then set up somelessons w/this guy.  ive always wanted to play the banjo, and i dont care what u say, it is such a cooool instrument.  i love folk music, so its gonna be hot when i can play some songs.

    my banjo (he doesnt have a name yet, but im working on out..has to be something appalachian or southern) is sooo pretty, and i look lie a killer w/my finger picks on...lol.  ok, im babbling.  but just wanted to let u all know about the new additon to the anne and a-dog family...and yes, a-dog wanted to buy a drum set, but i said no.

    just got back from work and am starting to unwind.  it was a good night at work, i made $70 in tips and the night went by really quickly.  got mad at myself b/c during rush i left the store w/only one of three pizzas for a delivery and had to go back and get the rest.  i hat eto screw up like that, b/c its only due to a lack of concentration...grrrr, i hate being human, im supposed to be superior to everyone!!!!

    the only bad news of the night was that the cards had lost to the marlins 3-4.  we got 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th, but couldnt quite complete the comeback.  we spluit a 4 game set w/fla and now start a 3 game series against the braves.  this is a definite playoff preview, so hopefully we can take 2 of 3.

    i really want to practice my banjo right now, but i dont wanna wake everybody up...hmmmmm, i guess ill just have to wait till morning.  i think i mentioned it in my last post, but i can play part of "dixie"...lol.  i taught myeslf which ispretty cool, atleast i think so.  i was listening to alot of folk music today with cool banjo parts and was totally amazed at how good the players were.  i mean i guess you dont appreciate something until youve tried and failed at it...lol. 

   ok, thats my post for now, i know it was pretty lame, but im starting to get sleepy.  have fun gang, ill be around for a bit and then be back tomorrow.

    anyways, like i said, nothing to exciting oing on, just work.  im starting ot get better at the banjo, which really makes me happy.  i think im gonna go ask the guy at the music store about lessons later this week.  playing is a lot of fun and i really lovelearning new things.

    in baseball news, the cards showed the braves who's boss of the national league.  they took 2 of 3 from atlanta this weekend, capped by a 5-3 win tonight.  the game ended on a walk-off grand slam by david eckstein...woo-hoo!!!!  what an amazing finish.  chris carpenter got a no decision, but pitched yet abother great game.  tonight he went 8 innings gave up 2 runs, walked 2 and struck out 10.

    oh and remember how i said derek lee would come crashing back to earth?  well the "triple crown winner" is now leading ZERO ctaegories!!!!  the albert pujols triple crown watch is still going on.  he is currently 3rd in average, 4th in hr and 2nd in rbi.  he really is a once in a lifetime player.  i never got to see stan musial play, but hes my generations stan musial.

    ok, well thats about all for me.  i think i have to close tomorrow night as well, which will make 3 nights in a row.  hope youre all having fun and staying out of trouble.  say hi if u get a chance, and sorry i havent been replying to some of your posts as much as i usually do, just been busy w/work.  bye bye.
